Program Description
You’ll be impressed as you approach Duomo di Milano, also known as Milan Cathedral, the largest church in Italy. Standing 108 metres high, 160 metres long and 92 metres wide, it can accommodate up to 40,000 people. Its Gothic architecture is striking from every angle, while the interior is filled with artworks, religious ornaments and historic sarcophagi. The cathedral is also home to Italy’s largest organ, featuring an impressive 15,350 pipes.
This special ticket gives you access to the Duomo rooftop, either by stairs or lift, depending on your chosen ticket option. Enjoy spectacular views over Milan from the terraces and discover the history of the cathedral from a unique perspective.
Important information
- Shoulders and knees must be covered. Shorts, sandals, tank tops and mini-skirts are not permitted.
- Strollers, umbrellas, metal or glass objects, large bags and luggage are not allowed.
- Visitors under 26 are eligible for reduced tickets on site.
- Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Please arrive at the gate at the time indicated on your ticket to allow time for security checks.
- Wheelchair access to the rooftops is limited to the lower rooftop, specifically the area behind the choir. This service is available daily from 10:00 to 17:00 via the south lift. If the south lift is unavailable, the north lift will be used.
- If you selected the stairs or lift entrance, go to the north entrance and scan your smartphone ticket at the turnstile.
- An identity document is required as a security deposit when renting an audio guide.
- There are 251 steps to a height of approximately 50 m. For organisational reasons, the descent is via the stairs.
- Each area can be visited once.
- All visitors are subject to security checks.
